# Content creation

Content creation turns a missing mention into a page on the calendar: drafted, scheduled, and published from the questions you track.

## What the calendar holds

Three states. Draft is still yours to edit. Scheduled has a day. Published is already on the site. Every card is one question where the answer did not name you. [Prompt research](https://www.genseo.co/prompt-research) is the list of questions. [AI search visibility](https://www.genseo.co/ai-search-visibility) is whether the answer names you. [Competitor analysis](https://www.genseo.co/competitor-analysis) is who else gets named.

The figures below are published reach and conversion numbers. They are not a Genseo benchmark.

- 1.2 billion people use ChatGPT each week, including to decide and discover products. Source: OpenAI, https://openai.com/index/new-chatgpt-ads-format-and-measurement/
- AI Overviews has more than 2.5 billion monthly users. Source: Google, I/O 2026, https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/sundar-pichai-io-2026/
- More than 1 billion people use the Gemini app each month. Source: Google, 11 August 2026, https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/products/gemini-app/one-billion-monthly-users/
- On 1,200 publisher sites, visitors from AI signed up at 1.66%, versus 0.15% from search, about 11 times the rate. Source: Microsoft Clarity, https://clarity.microsoft.com/blog/ai-traffic-converts-at-3x-the-rate-of-other-channels-study/

## Statuses

### The gap

Each card starts from a prompt where the answer names someone else. That question is the page. A keyword with a volume number is not.

### Draft

The blue card. The title is written and you can still change it. Nothing from that card is on the site yet, and it has no date.

### Scheduled

The green card. The page has a day. The gap is no longer a note in a list. It waits for that date, and it is not on the site yet.

### Published

The gray card, on a day that has passed. The page is live. An engine can cite it. That is not proof the answer already names you.

### From your site

The draft uses your products and pages. A generic article gives ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google AI Mode nothing of yours to cite.

### The next check

After the page is live, the same prompt is checked again. Visibility shows whether the name in the answer changed.

## FAQ

### What is content creation in Genseo?

It is the calendar of pages written for the questions you track. A prompt where you are not named becomes a draft, then a scheduled page, then a published one. The list of questions comes from [prompt research](https://www.genseo.co/prompt-research).

### How is this different from an AI writer?

An AI writer starts from a topic you type. Genseo starts from a gap: a question where [AI search visibility](https://www.genseo.co/ai-search-visibility) shows a competitor named and you absent. The page is scheduled on the calendar, not dropped into a blank doc.

### What do the calendar statuses mean?

Draft is a title or a first version. Scheduled has a date. Published is already on the site.

### Where do the article topics come from?

From the prompts you watch, and from the brands named beside you. [Competitor analysis](https://www.genseo.co/competitor-analysis) shows who already owns the answer. Content creation is the page that answers that question.

### Does publishing a page guarantee a mention?

No. A page gives the engine something to cite. [AI search visibility](https://www.genseo.co/ai-search-visibility) is how you see whether the next check names you. The calendar does not invent that result.

### Can I write the page myself?

Yes. Create a blank post, or start from the prompt and edit the draft before it is scheduled. The calendar keeps the date either way.

### How is this different from Jasper, Rankpill, or Outrank?

Those tools draft or publish articles from a keyword. Genseo ties the page to a tracked question and to who the answer already names. See the [AI visibility alternatives](https://www.genseo.co/compare).

### How do I see the calendar for my site?
